Simple operation
(1) Set the desired speed in 0.1 MPH increments with the up/down arrows.
(2) Press the ON/OFF button to engage the system.
(3) Push the throttle down.
That’s it -- Ridesteady Classic does the rest. Need to take over? Simply pull back on the throttle to temporarily disengage the system.
Adjustable overshoot control
Tweak your overshoot control preference using our intuitive menu system, and then watch your boat hit the set speed fast with little overshoot. Great for getting back up to speed for multiple runs when mastering a new trick.
One second startup
Got a second? Then Ridesteady Classic is the speed control for you. Riders will appreciate not having to decide between a safe boat entry with the engine off or a quick speed control restart time. Now you can have both.
Real-time lake temperature
Want to know how painful that first run of the season will be, before taking the plunge? The control panel continuously displays the water temperature in real time even during active speed control.
More juice for your tunes
Let your alternator power your engine and sound system instead of your speed control. Ridesteady Classic uses intelligent, power-sipping throttle motor technology to cut power consumption in half with no need for those big, hot, power-wasting resistors.

In-dash control panel display
The sleek, dash-mountable control panel features a black aluminum or optional stainless steel bezel to complement most instrument panels. A four-button keypad and sunlight-viewable backlit LCD display put full functionality at your fingertips.
Safety first
Our “throttle reduction” technology mechanically prevents the speed control from going any faster than the driver allows; all electrical parts have independently passed USCG, ISO, and NMMA standards for ignition protection, and the system has undergone hundreds of hours of on-water testing on several boat types, to give you the safest possible operating environment.
Mechanical throttle compatibility
The Ridesteady Classic speed control system works well with a wide range of boats, both fuel injected and carbureted, with mechanical throttle connections. Our unique “synergetic throttle connection” lets you avoid the obstructions and interference caused by cable movement during operation.
