We Wakeboard and Wakesurf

While surfing we use the Yamaha Wakebooster setup with an additional 750lb Fatsac made for the 21ft Yamaha

Having the Ridesteady installed not only makes it easy to pull skiers, wakeboarders and surfers, but it immensely increases safety by allowing the driver to simply drive without the added distraction of constantly adjusting the throttles. Having less, actually NO complaints about speed or overshoot from behind the boat also makes a day of water sports on the lake more enjoyable. Using RPM mode while cruising and having the engines synced is also very nice. I’ve been the primary driver before I installed the Ridesteady, but now other drivers are giving it a shot and are loving it.

The install was straight forward and well diagrammed by the install manual. Any other questions were handled promptly and accurately through both phone and email support. Most of the time I spend on the install was getting caught up in routing the wiring to be as clean as possible.

With the Connext LCD most people opted for the external panel. I wasn’t a huge fan and wanted to find a way to make the round gauge work. I discovered the holes for the cup holders in the boat all have a 3.5” diameter. Perfect for the round 4” display. It’s entirely possible to mount it flush on the helm through the cup holder on the left side of the dash, but I wanted a little angle to it. My solution was to use a PVC coupler that joins 3” PVC (which is perfectly 3.5” on the inside). The display fit perfectly. A little light sanding and gloss black spray paint and I had a solution that I’m completely happy with.

I also did a little reading about GPS signal through fiberglass and decided to mount the receiver in the bow with 100% silicone. Three bars reception and I don’t think it will detach from the fiberglass any time soon.

The only other snag I ran into was that I didn’t have a wire labeled ANCHOR LT at the SPU wiring harness. One the same color was labeled ALL RND LT and with a call to Support we decided to use that wire. Worked perfectly.

Buy this system, you won’t regret it.
