The overall install went well and took me just a bit over 3 hours. The instruction manual was OK and I was able to figure it out with the help of the video. Here is a few tips to pass along.

1. To disconnect the throttle cable it help to loosen the overall assembly in order to pinch the connector.
2. The display back connector was the plastic ring one and was really stuck. I took a Oil filter tool (like a big plyer) to get it moving. Was pretty easy.
3. Routing the CPU-to Node cable required to remove the gas tank access panel.

Otherwise, everything went smoothly. The unit is powering up and the RPM is displaying . I had a chance to try the unit this weekend on the water.

All I can say, it is a game changer. Very easy to use and keep the speed well (at the set speed) based on the GPS. Easy to increase or decrease by just turning the dial. All Yamaha boat should come equipped with Ridesteady.

Note that in a previous life, I had a Malibu boat with the Perfect Pass. The Ridesteady is much easier to use.
