I had no experience with installing any form or close to product such as this and I have no marine engine experience. I have little experience working on car engines either but I attempted to follow the manual step by step which is very detailed.
However I quickly realized that my throttle system was newer and different than the ones pictured in the manual. I reached out to Hydrophase and "Justin" was more than helpful. He provided me with another customer's YouTube video that he made and I followed the video to a T and had to put in a little more work and engineered a couple small parts as it showed in the video to get this to work.
Now my boat operated with this system as if it came with it. I couldn't be happier. The External Display, CPU hookup, and plug and play portion was very easy and requires very little knowledge of wiring experience so long as you take a deep breath and read the instructions. The throttle portion was the most complicated but I just worked slow and methodical and kept my patience. The video provided was what helped the most.
Same exact throttle body and linkages as the Bayliner. Follow this step by step and it will work.
